I made slime for the first time! And it's edible too! You can top any cupcake with the stuff—just be careful cause if it's still too warm, when you add the candy eyes, they'll slide right off the side!
To make homemade slime:
Combine 3/4 cup water with one cup of sugar and cook over medium heat until half the liquid has evaporated. Then, dissolve 3 tbsp cornstarch in another 1/4 cup water, add to the hot syrup and continue cooking until the mixture turns clear-this takes a while. Be sure to stir frequently so that the sugar doesn't burn. Finally-Add a few drops of food coloring!
